For the last 6 years I have been working on the restoration of this 1955 Land Rover. Now I am finally finished and happy to share the final result of my fully restored Land Rover Series 1 107. I am going to share with you a bit of the journey that I have been on and show you exactly what this finished vehicle looks like.
There are 26 videos in this series from the day that we recovered this vehicle almost 25 years ago right up to now with the finished restoration. So if you haven’t seen those then please go and watch them to see how I did it and what it takes to restore and abandoned Land Rover. You can also find all the articles here on this site.
I have been so focused on this project and have been trying to finish it for a few years now. Even though I am ecstatic at having it finished, it feels like something is missing now. After being busy with it for so many years it becomes a way of life. No more committed weekends, no more committed budgets, no more problems trying to find parts, no more cleaning, fixing, assembling and painting. That’s all in the past. It feels like I’ve entered a new era. Now its just enjoyment, time to take it a bit easier and get out there and spend time driving and enjoying this classic Land Rover.
